Charging Cable Manufacturing Process

Some people may think that making a data cable is simple. Actually, it's not. USB data cables have two main parts - the cable and the connector - and the manufacturing process goes through several steps to ensure that every cable is of good quality and functions well before shipping out our warehouse.

At Veaqee factory, every production process, from raw materials, especially copper wire, to finished products, undergoes strict control. To facilitate understanding, the manufacturing process of charging cables is divided into seven detailed steps:

• Cable manufacturing

Metallic copper wire is obtained by drawing a copper rod through a series of synthetic diamond dies on a wire drawing machine. During the drawing process, tremendous pressure is applied to the metal rods to form finer wires, which are then annealed to make them soft and flexible.

• Cutting the Cables

The raw cables are carefully cut to the desired length. The use of advanced cutting equipment and accurate measurements

• Exposing the Inner Conductor

The inner conductor is the core component responsible for conducting electrical currents in the charging cable. Skilled workers delicately strip away the outer layers to reveal the inner conductor, ensuring that it is ready for the subsequent connection process. This step requires great attention to detail and accuracy to prevent any damage to the conductor and maintain its integrity.

• Connecting the Wire & Terminal

In this critical step, the exposed inner conductor is connected to the corresponding terminal of the connector. The wire's color serves as a visual guide, indicating its specific usage and ensuring the correct connection. Highly skilled workers employ soldering techniques to join the conductor and the pinpoint of the connector securely. 

• Molding

Once the wire and terminal are successfully connected, the charging cable undergoes the molding process. During this step, an injection molding machine is utilized to cover and encase the connection. The cable and connector are carefully positioned within the mold, and molten material, is injected to form a protective layer around the connection. The injection molding technique ensures a tight fit, enhancing durability, and providing resistance against external factors such as bending, twisting, or impact.

• Test & Inspection

The cables are subjected to a series of rigorous tests to evaluate their electrical conductivity, durability, and overall functionality. Our QC Team uses specialized equipment to measure parameters such as voltage, current, resistance, and data transmission capabilities. Additionally, a comprehensive visual inspection is carried out to assess the cables' appearance, including any signs of defects or imperfections.

• Final Packaging

Following the specific requirements of each customer, the charging cables are packaged in accordance with their desired quantities and packaging materials. Labeling and branding may be applied as per the customer's instructions, including logos, product information, and safety instructions. Special attention is given to ensuring the cables are well-protected during transit. 

After quality control and finnal packaging, the product will enter our warehouse and wait for the customer's shipment notice.
